The YC Lab (Computational Systems Biology Laboratory) was founded in 2003 at the China Medical University (Taiwan). The lab focuses on integrating computational technology into drug discovery. We use both structure-based and ligand-based technology to design new anti-influenza compounds, anti-cancer compounds and new soporific compounds. Currently, we are working with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and research groups at Harvard University to develop new anti-influenza compound. Other ongoing projects include developing a novel scoring function for analyzing protein-ligand interaction, designing a novel
algorithm for predicting protein ligand-binding sites (in collaboration with at Structural Bioinformatics Lab at Boston University) and building a traditional Chinese medicine database for virtual screening.
